She continues to participate in research for the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group, finding the best treatments for amblyopia (lazy eye) and strabimus (eye turn) in children. As a student she enjoyed volunteering at Camp Seale Harris, Alabama Institute for the Deaf & Blind, and also enjoyed providing eye care for veterans at the Tuscaloosa VA Hospital. She continued to volunteer with Remote Area Medical (RAMUSA.org) on weekend-long service trips providing free eye care to those in need.
Outside of clinic, Dr. Bailey enjoys hiking with her husband and their 2 dogs, live music, reading, and watching soccer.
