Dr. Zack Steele is a graduate of Auburn University with a BS in microbiology, with a Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Dr. Steele has worked in private practice in Trussville Alabama for 20 years, specializing in pediatrics and binocular vision as well as contact lens care.
Dr. Steele was named Alabama’s young optometrist of the year in 2010 and served as president of the Alabama Optometric Association in 2014. He has written several articles on eyecare over the years as well as served as Alabama optometry’s legislative liaison from 2015-2018.
Dr. Steele has been married to his wife Beth, also an optometrist, for 20 years. They have 2 children, Janie, 15, and Bryant 13.
Dr. Steele spends most of his spare time traveling for his children’s competitive soccer but enjoys quiet time at the lake sailing in his sailboat, the Mayfly.
